- French Press Brewer
- 16 grams of Travesia Coffee
- Grinder
- Hot Water Just Off the Boil (195°F – 205°F)
- Spoon or Coffee Paddle
- Scale
- Timer
Brewing time: 4 minutes
Steps:
1. Warm Up the Press:
Start by preheating your French Press with hot water. This keeps the temperature consistent during brewing, ensuring a better extraction.
2. Weight and Grind:
Weigh out 16 grams (1 cup) of coffee and grind it as coarse (ratio 1:15).
3. Add Water:
Discard the preheating water, add the ground coffee to the French Press, and start your timer. (Total 240 ml of water) Fill it up halfway (120 ml) to the top saturating all the grounds, making sure your saturate all grounds evenly.
4. Stir:
At the 1-minute mark, break the crust (the layer of coffee grounds on top) with a spoon and give it a good stir.
5. Add more water:
Pour in the remaining 120 ml of water, ensuring the grounds are fully submerged, and allow the coffee to brew without pressing it down.
6. Press and Pour:
At 4:00, slowly press the plunger down, then immediately pour your coffee into a mug to prevent over-extraction.
7. Stir and Enjoy:
Stir, sip, savor, and relish in your perfectly brewed French Press coffee!
